Sharif’s Training

I bought an item online
Immediately, it follows up with a survey
I feel good, they care
They appreciate me as a customer

I bought e-book from Kobo.com
I was about to finish reading the book
Kobo gave me a discount voucher for next purchase
I bought a new book today

Since 1999, having attended personal and company sponsor training
I have only found international training offer post project
Sharif training is the first local training that focus on post project
I have benefitted tremendously

In team work, selection of personnel has to be based on strength
And not favoritism

Willing to Learn

One team member commented on me
"You are willing to learn"
I always believe those who have more experience have much to share
I only need to be open to learn

Regular conference call
More learning, planning and travel oversea

To work with the local
Earn their respect
The key is to support
And perform task that they cannot do

Ultimately, the local will have to take responsibility
The faster the regional team let go
The integration will be effective
Money and time will be saved

The checklist is a good document

Accepted the invitation in one phone call
Flew 36 hours one way?
Stay 3 nights, flew back
Went to work next day, no rest

I was still young, age 42

Best Person. For The Job

To do voluntary work in Australia
One must apply for temporary business visa

I was the team manager
I wanted to train some people
I was asked instead to select the best person for the team
Human resource is the most important

Team Training - Hoo Ha

Why many team training did not succeed?
Does the applicant to the training want to learn
Want to put into practical what has been learned
Want to succeed.

If a good training take 5 days or 7 days
The Employer ask the facilitator to cramp it to shorter time
The facilitator need sufficient time to guide
The participant need enough time to absorb


The facilitator only provides the tools and materials
The team need to take back the resource
Build a solid house 
But we just store it in our head

Come next training
More materials store in the head
Conclusion, why waste time going for training
Every time, we learn none is apply

Why?
Employer give training as a benefit?
As a two days holiday?
Or to be put into practical use

Why?

BACK UP

When the team is strong
Each one can be a back up
When there is back up
The team can take more responsibility

Good team work
Offer more opportunity
A good team
Always have a back up

ASSUMPTION

In training, we were taught 
Do not assume, ask

Big Town has everything?
I went to Nokia Centre at Garden
To order replacement battery for my E90
Two weeks later still no stock

Quickly sms my son in Singapore
Received replied "had checked with few outlets, no stock"
Suddenly, remember a nephew of mine
Work part-time selling handphone

Make enquiry and was informed
The shop in front my office has stock
I bought the battery today
If only, I never assume

Check into Cititel
Try the  card key to the door
The green and red light blink
Try few more times, same problem

Ask my son to try
He just push the door and it open
Assumption, "Ass u"
Never Assume
